Birth of a Blog
Starting a blog certainly seems to be a momentous occasion.
There is a moment of sheer panic as you look at the vast blank page, trying to grasp for the words to write–but then again, I think nowhere near as daunting as the blank novel awaiting a hundred thousand words and an entire universe. Bite-sized prose–and inelegant meandering, which is definitely more accurate a descriptor of what will no doubt appear in this space–seems far more reasonable at the outset. And I have written a book already, right?
On that note, “The Fire Comes to Thérèse” is available for purchase at the Amazon store; only $2.99 for the Kindle edition and $14.96 for paperback.
With the shameless promotion out of the way (although, what is this entire blog but shameless promotion?), ever onwards and upwards! I intend this blog to be a place to catalog thoughts of a science-fiction nature, and to occasionally post snippets of upcoming works, as well as to keep my thin but hardy band of faithful readers (at this point, chiefly my long-suffering wife) apprised of my progress. And who knows? Perhaps this will one day grow into something that surpasses my wildest expectations.
Or perhaps it goes the way of most blogs. From dust to digital dust.
Either way, alea iacta est.
